siduction

There is great news for Debian fans. The siduction team has announced the release of siduction 2012.1. siduction is based on the unstable repository of Debian and comes in three flavours -- KDE, Xfce and LXDE. The much talked about desktop environment Razor-qt will also join the siduction family. The Razor-Qt based flavour will be released at LinuxTag to be held in Berlin.

What's New In Siduction 2012.1 Desperado?
Desperado is shipped with 3 Desktop-Environments: KDE SC 4.8.3, XFCE 4.8 and LXDE, all in 32- and 64-bit variants. In this version of siduction the installer offers the choice of btrfs as filesystem. As you are aware Oracle developed btrfs is still in experimental stage and is not recommended for production machines. There is also a limitation to regular MBR, btrfs does not work with GPT for now. So, if you want to give btrfs a try be aware of this warnings.

You can download the preferred version of siduction from this link. For more information on the release, check out the release notes.
