Motorola's WebTop OS was expected to get some major overhaul with the next version. But if we look at the YouTube video of WebTop 3.0 beta, it leaves a lot to be desired. It is by no means a desktop OS. It seems to be nothing more than Android on a bigger screen.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have apps optimized for desktop/laptop it will be connected to. When the user opened Google it was still set to 'Mobile' mode instead if Desktop mode. Chrome for Android was huge as if it did not recognize the device it was running on.

On the contrary Ubuntu for Android offers a complete desktop experience allowing a user to get access to both Android apps as well as desktop apps such as LibreOffice or GIMP when the phone is connected to a monitor. I personally think its high time Motorola should consider Ubuntu for Android on their devices instead if WebTop OS and offer a complete desktop experience instead of unoptimized Android experience.

I am posting both videos here, one of Webtop OS 3.0 beta and Ubuntu For Android. You tell me which OS you want in the docked mode -- Webtop OS or Ubuntu for Android?
