Google's Chrome browser has hit the version 18 and brings improved graphic performance. Chrome has enabled GPU-accelerated Canvas2D which should make web applications like games perform even better than a pure software implementation.Google has enabled SwiftShader, a licensed software rasterizer from TransGamin which enables older hardware to access graphic enhancements. Google says that a software-backed WebGL implementation is never going to perform as well as one running on a real GPU, but now more users will have access to basic 3D content on the web. Since Google's Chrome updates automatically, if you are using Google Chrome you should already be running the latest version of Chrome.Unfortunately the enhancement is available only on capable Windows and Mac computers
