O³Spaces has certified its Workplace Enterprise and Express document management solutions for the Univention Corprate Server (UCS) enterprise Linux operating system.

This certification ensures that O³Spaces Workplace document management and collaboration solutions will perform as designed on UCS. With the certification of O³Spaces for the German Linux based infrastructure and management platform, UCS now extends its supported solution stack with a full-featured document management solution.

Customers can now deploy the O³Spaces document management solutions on the UCS operating system, and receive support for this configuration.

O³Spaces Workplace is a comprehensive document management solution that also offers intuitive collaboration and process automation. O³Spaces is a platform independent solution that integrates with office and groupware products of choice, and supports open standards such as CMIS for interoperability with third party solutions. O³Spaces provides powerful DMS/ECM solutions for small and medium size businesses, government and education institutions, as well as for multinational corporations.

O³Spaces Workplace is available in two commercial editions. The Express Edition is an out-of-the-box document management and collaboration solution for departments, workgroups and SMB's. The Enterprise Edition is the extensible content management platform, intended for customers looking to refine their document management environment and streamline their document-centric business processes. Both editions are available as traditional 'on-premises' installations and through the O³Spaces On-Demand service (SAAS).

UCS is a Linux based operating system and management solution for single servers and entire IT-infrastructures. On top of the operating system UCS contains pre-configured identity- and infrastructure management solutions, that enable the central, location and platform independent, administration of complex environments through a single user friendly web application.

O³Spaces and Univention intend to start offering UCS and O³Spaces Workplace as plug and play document management appliances in the coming fall. These appliances are intended to offer customers a comprehensive document management and collaboration solution, out-of-the-box.
