The tablet landscape will change forever once Amazon launches its Android based tablet. The company has already finished the most important work -- create the eco-system for its tablet. Amazon has its own music store, Movies for rent, eBooks and its own App Store. Amazon has also added a not-yet-advertised profile page for its users which may be later use for some kind of social networking. The only block missing from this puzzle is the device.

According to reports by DigiTimes, Amazon is expected to start shipping its tables in the month of October this year. Amazon is reportedly following the same trend set by Samsung and bring two versions of its tablets -- 7inch and 10 inch. Digitimes reports that the 7inch tablet is expect to start shipping in October. The 10inch tablet may arrive in the first quarter of 2011.

Amazon's Kindle was a massive hit with user due to its low price. Amazon put the Kindle against the iPad for its e-ink which can be read in the broad day light. How Amazon position its 'Kindle Tablet' will be interesting to see. A price point close to Kindle will cannibalize Kindle. Amazon may price its table in between the standard tablet price $599 and the price of Kindle $149 making it one of the most affordable tablets.
