Samsung will be using Cyperss' OvationONS II optical navigation system for its Android-based Intercept phones.
The OvationONS II sensor will be used in the optical track pad modules inside the Intercept for easy and intuitive single-handed screen and menu navigation. The OvationONS sensor is based on Cypress’s PSoC programmable technology.
OvationONS sensor is a superior 2-D motion sensor system solution. The solution enables reliable optical tracking performance for all operating environments.
The programmable advantages enables the sensor to self adjust tracking performance according to different conditions such as operating temperature, tracking surfaces, ambient light conditions and more.
