Red Hat and HP claimed leadership in 2-socket and blade server virtualization performance setting a new standard in virtualization efficiency and consolidation.

This result demonstrates a 33 percent performance advantage compared to the nearest competitive 2-socket servers result.

This benchmark was achieved on a single HP ProLiant BL620c G7 server with an Intel Xeon E7-2780 2.4GHz processor running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 with Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).

The benchmark measures the end-to-end performance of all system components including the hardware, virtualization platform, the virtualized guest operating system and application software.
