Voyager Review: XFCE At Its Best

I highly recommend Voyager 12.04 as it is an excellent lightweight, feature packed, beautiful OS plus it is a Long Term Support release as it is based on Xubuntu 12.04 which makes it a super fine distro to try and use.

Blender 2.63a Released, Install On Ubuntu, openSUSE

The Blender team has announced the release of Blender 2.63a which fixes more than 100 crucial bugs. With this version, Blender will use BMesh as the new mesh system with full support for N-sided polygons instead of only triangles and quads.

Ubuntu teams are planning a Gnome flavour since 12.10 release. A session is planning in UDS to "Discuss what demand there is to make a GNOME flavor of Ubuntu, what it would contain and if it would have patches over upstream GNOME and what work needs to be done to make it happen"

Ubuntu's new Enhanced Menu project

This month has had quite a number of surprises (Steam coming to Linux), releases (Ubuntu 12.04) and the upcoming Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS-q). Ubuntu developers have already started thinking about some of the new features for Ubuntu 12.10 like the new Unity Spread, revamped indicators and many more.
