Android is already gaining momentum in India, one of the world's largest mobile markets in the world. As the country is going 3G (when the rest of the world is moving to 4G, thanks to corrupt politicians of India) leading companies are trying to lure customers into using the 3G network. Indian carrier Reliance Communications is now partnering with Google to offer free 1GB data with each activation of CDMA Android phone.

The customer will get one month to eat this 1GB data. The offer started on April 15 and will end on June 15. One a user consumes this free data he will be charged an overage charge of 10p / 10kb. Once the data is consumed the customer can recharge (top-up) with the existing data packs.
