In our previous post here, we informed you about the community wallpapers that were being finalized. However that set of community wallpapers did not include the default purplish wallpaper of the Ubuntu.  With a new bug report, the default purplish wallpaper has been modified and is waiting for upload into Precise. Expect all the new set of community wallpapers including this one to land in Precise in another week or two.

Otto Greenslade, the person responsible behind the change states, “This time I have re-balanced rather than just adding additional light streams and have introduced more warmth - it's the LTS after all”.

He has uploaded two version of the wallpaper, the first one without noise and the other with noise. You can see the wallpaper below.

While comparing the previous Oneiric wallpaper to this version, the major noticeable change is the crimson color displaying the warmth and significance of this release. You can see the default wallpaper from Ubuntu 10.04 being iterated until now below,
