Android is undoubtedly conquering the world. It has beaten Apple's iOS in almost every market. However, Android doesn't play very well with the US armed forced deployed overseas to help democracies and freedom. Those brave soldiers who risk their lives to keep us safe fin themselves deserted by Google's Android. The same is the situation with US government employees or diplomats who are abroad serving their country.
What's the problem?
Google doesn't make available a lot of necessary services and applications to such users. Most such apps such as USAA (Americans rely on) are not available outside the USA, leaving such users high and dry. That makes iPhones their preferred choice. Apple offers all their services and applications irrespective of where you are.

We spoke to a serviceman, who requested anonymity. He said:
We we excited when we bought 3 Android phones, while everyone else was rooting for the iPhone. Our excitement flushed down the drain when we couldn't find USAA, Google Music, Google books and many other apps on our phones. we can't manage our accounts from our Android phones whereas all our friends can do so very easily with their iPhones. We can't buy music, movies or books whereas our friends can. Android was a disaster for our family. We have sold our Android phones and bought iPhones, now we are a happy family. We won't recommend Android to anyone. When we go back home we will not switch to Android as we now know it won't work. So, we will go back as an iPhone family. This is sad and Google must do something for it.
This is a universal complaint about Google’s Android. Most Google services are not available to Android users outside the USA. Android is an awesome platform, but the user experience is not as good due to above mentioned reasons.
Google's Android has a huge market outside the USA, but these millions of users are not able to access basic Google services. On the contrary Apple users can easily use and access all such services.
I do understand that there may be services which users non-American uses can't access due to licence issues. But, Google can find ways for such users, like armed forces, to verify address (this is already verified if one is using Google Wallet to buy apps or content. If you are using PayPal, you have to connect your bank info which has verified address or contact info) and then make US-only content available to such users.
Are you affected by Android's US-only services? Do you prefer iPhone/iPad due to this limitation of Android. Share your thought in the comments below.
