KDE 4.8.1 was released recently and you can now upgrade your Kubuntu machine to KDE 4.8.1. I am running openSUSE 12.01 and Ubuntu 12.04 on my machine so I did not realize that other Kubuntu users may be wanting to upgrade their KDE version as 12.04 was already updated (I upgrade it every night). So here is how you can do that. Thanks to PPAs.

Open the Konsole and run these commands:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

PS: If you are a KDE fan you may want to follow Muktware as we will be increasing focus on KDE along with regular Unity and Gnome Shell coverage.
