The Fedora community is working hard on the upcoming release of Fedora (17). Adam Williamson has filed a request for Alpha RC.

"Hey, folks. So it turns out all currently identified Alpha blockers are addressed, so I went ahead and filed a request for Alpha RC1 rather than TC3."

This is two days before the schedule byt Adam explains, "We're two days early, but current blockers are all addressed, so we can go ahead with an RC build at this point, may as well get ahead."
