OpeSUSE, like Fedora, doesn't support non-free or proprietary formats in the community version. So, if you want to use proprietary or restricted codecs you will have to install restricted formats. It's extremely easy using openSUSE KDE.

Just visit this page and select the easier 1-click installation.

Follow the instructions (it might through some warnings as it tries to resolve dependencies. Just make sure not to chose an option which says 'breaking' a package, instead choose the one which asks from downgrading another package.)

Once done you are good to play any proprietary formats using openSUSE.
