The Linux Mint team has announced the release of Linux Mint 12. The version is available for free download. Linux Mint 12 comes with Gnome 3 with customized MGSE shell which pre-installs quite a lot of Gnome shell extensions. Linux Mint also offers the familiar main menu. The version also comes with Gnome 2 fork (MATE) for those who still want to use the old Gnome 2. Linux Mint 12 uses DuckDuckGo as the default search engine.
