Red Hat has announced the release of version 1.1 of OpenShift which brings a number of enhancements and updates. OpenShift Enterprise 1.1 features a fully supported developer console that enables application deployment via a web browser, in addition to OpenShift Enterprise’s CLI and Eclipse IDE interfaces.
Red Hat also announces the availability of a newly published reference architecture, Deploying and Managing a Private PaaS with OpenShift Enterprise that details how to deploy a distributed OpenShift Enterprise environment and how to use that to build and deploy applications.

OpenShift Enterprise 1.1 is available to subscribing customers in North America, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe today.
