Canonical is working on creating a pleasant experience on Ubuntu Phone, which is expected to be released later this year. The company made a call for collaboration on core apps and according to Mika Meskanen of Canonical the response has been great. This response encouraged the team to help those developers and designer who are working on core apps.

Meskanen writes, "In the Design Team, we thought that we could chip in to this effort and come up with some design concepts that reflect the vision of where Ubuntu is headed towards on phones, and start by sharing some concepts we’ve come up with in our London offices."

He further writes that the three elements which are critical to the design vision is 'Focus on the content', 'Fast and natural interactions' amd 'Sophisticated style'.

The design team has laid out design concept for each app on the site.

He says that "This is just the beginning. We are looking forward to iterating these apps with you through design and development with the goal of landing them on the Ubuntu Phone!"
