Sad news, Fedora 18 Spherical Cow final version is delayed once again. Fedora 18 experienced many delays till date, almost 6 delays. In devel-announce mailing list Jaroslav Reznik has declared delay of one week in Fedora 18 Spherical cow Final release. These decision are made in Go/No-Go meeting due to some unresolved blocker bugs.

Fedora 18 Spherical cow Final release date was 6 November 2012 initially. After many changes in Fedora 18 release schedule, date decided for Final release was 8 Jan 2013. Due to these bugs release date of Fedora 18 is marked 15 January 2013 now. Keep your eye on Fedora 18 release schedule here.

Most of the blocker bugs are related to Anaconda, the new Fedora Installer. Other bugs are related to systemd, KDE, Lorax etc. You can review full list of blocker bugs here. It's  better to release when ready than release a buggy and half-baked final product. Delays are expected from Fedora which introduces cutting/bleeding edge technologies from the GNU/Linux world.
