A new version of the Gnome Desktop, Gnone 3.7.2 is out. This version includes several stability and performance improvements along with bug fixes theta will make the Gnome desktop more stable, secure and reliable. Among the many changes in this release, the most important is the support for remote search providers. Now not only you will be able to search Wikipedia and Google from Gnome, but also will be able to search files, folders and documents from the single Gnome search bar.
You can also filter notifications and choose which apps will notify you and which will not. Although you can close all notifications with a single mouse click, this update makes the desktop more configurable and user oriented. There is also a dialog added which allow you to choose which locations and places to search from.
OwnCloud support is not yet complete in Gnome. Though you can add a OwnCloud account from Gnome online accounts, you can't sync documents and files yet. Hopefully you can expect the feature to be fully active in future Gnome stable release.
There is a Gnome Testing PPA available for Ubuntu users that you can try and test the latest release, However, to test Gnome 3.7 series, you need to update to Raring Ringtail.
