Valve has launched a steam community group specially for Linux users. The portal is available in this link and is made to cater all the needs of Linux gamers. Comments have already started flowing in, so it will be the right time to sign up if you want to be the first of its users.

Users can post discussions, screenshots and search and see news and videos from the community. You can share your experiences, post your problems and help other Linux users about their problems.

Unlike other operating systems, Linux is recognized by its strong community of members. We have one of the largest and most helpful forums and mailing list, full of people looking to help each other. Indeed, open source and Linux lives in its community and Valve has taken a right step forward.

Steam for Linux beta may launch anytime soon, with a good number of games added to its database, including Team Fortress 2.
