Canonical has released the final stable version of Ubuntu 12.10 codenamed Quantal Quetzal. This release comes with an improved desktop, Unity and adds two more lenses to the Dash (e.g. Gwibber and Photos). Also, this version will include the much controversial Amazon shopping lens.

Some other apps like Update Manager and Nautilus have received minor changes. Ubuntu 12.10 comes with web apps integrated, so you can enjoy some of your favorite sites like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube right from the desktop.

Users can download the DVD images from this mirror. It will take some time for the news to be published in official site.
