A new version of the free office suite, LibreOffice has been released. The version 3.6.2 is mainly a bug fix release over the previous version of 3.6 release, and this version comes with over 90 bug fixes that makes it suitable for corporate environments.

If you experienced occasional crashes in the software before, you must think to upgrade to this edition.

Ubuntu users can wait for update to arrive in the repos, or they can download the debian packages directly from here and install in their PCs.

The announcement also confirms the dates of LibCon which is scheduled to be held on 17th to 19th November in Berlin. You can register in the event here.

LibreOffice is gaining widespread adoptation in different public and private sectors environments. Recently Limerick, third largest city of Ireland decided to have a mass switch to LibreOffice for office software.
