A new development branch of Wine has been released that features improved support for Shader Compiler, GIF and JavaScript. Also, it includes better handling of URL cache and usual set of bug fixes.

Ubuntu users can install Wine in their computers by adding a PPA. Run the following commands in Terminal.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get update
supo apt-get install wine1.5

Wine developers release a development build every two weeks and though these are experimental, you can actively test new features by installing these releases.
