Ekiga is a free alternative of Skype that supports Voice over Internet Protocol and Video Chats and Conferencing. The app was updated and this is the last bets release before Ekiga 4.0. Ekiga 4 will be based on GTK2 and is scheduled to be released soon.
Users can have a glimpse of what Ekiga 4 will look like from this release. Ekiga.net which is a web frontend and server of Ekiga softphone will also be updated.
