Fedora 18 alpha release has been delayed for another week. The main reason behind this delay is the Anaconda installer which is going to get a major overhaul in the next release.

A proposal was presented to use the older version of the Anaconda in Fedora 18 but that was strongly rejected by the Fedora Engineering and Steering Committee. This delay makes a total delay of three weeks which makes Fedora 18 to be released in November 27.

Fedora also delays beta releases in case of some major problems, which may push the final release further to December.
