KDE Photo Suite, digiKam, has been updated with bug fixes and enhancements in the 2.9.0 release. This is mostly aimed at reducing annoying bugs and making the system more stable. As announced in the digiKam blog:

"After one month since 2.8.0 release, digiKam team is proud to announce the digiKam Software Collection 2.9.0, as bug-fixes release. This will be the last 2.x release. Next one will be 3.0.0, currently under development, following GoSC 2012 projects, listed here."

There are 11 bugs fixed in this release, along with multiple monitor setup for OpenGL image viewer and some local contrast plugin issues.
