As days advance towards the Ubuntu Quantal release, new and exciting features are being added to Ubuntu; the old features and bugs are being squashed and Canonical is making sure that Ubuntu 12.10 will be the best Ubuntu release ever.

One such feature that has been recently added is the Encrypted Installation in Ubuntu 12.10.

Earlier, users had the option to encrypt their home folder only, from now on they will be able to encrypt entire installation. The feature has been integrated in Ubiquity and users can have a preview of it in Ubuntu 12.10 beta release coming out soon. Users will be able to provide a security key during drive selection in installation to encrypt the underlying device.

Without any doubt, this will enhance overall security in Ubuntu systems and installations.
