The desktop is based on Lubuntu 12.04, and specially designed for those old machines which fail to load advanced user interfaces and desktop environments.

As i'ts based on a long term support release, it will be supported with security updates for a period of five years. The LXDE desktop brings in a light, customizable interface and also doesn't require high end hardware to run.
