With 12.10 release coming close, a lot of major changes are happening around in the Ubuntu developer community. For Xubuntu fans, there is fanally some good news. Greybird, the default Xubuntu theme has got a major makeover. The changes have been summarized below:

  • GTK2 theme
  • GTK3 theme
  • Xfwm4 themes (normal and compact)
  • xfce-notifyd theme
  • Emerald theme
  • Metacity theme
  • Mutter theme
  • Unity support
  • Granite widgets support (for compatibility with elementary apps)

Unico GTK3 engine has been abandoned, thus this theme can be used in Gnome shell too. To add it:
