After Chakra and Kubuntu, openSuse users will now be able to install the newly released KDE Software Compilation 4.9. Users need to add these repositories and install the KDE 4.9 packages from there.Separate repos for core and extra packages are available. You can get instructions for adding a new repository in OpenSuse from this wiki page.

Note: Remove all repos from the Updated Apps only section (UpdatedApps/Extra) if you are going to use KDE 4.9.

KDE 4.9 comes with a lot of stabilty and performance improvements along with greater integration of apps into activities and a revamped Dolphin file manager.
