This year, the event ran full three weeks, at the end of which developers submitted 140 applications. The event is accompanied by video tutorials and interactive Google+ hangouts where developers can ask and interact with lead Ubuntu devs and get their doubts cleared.
In an online UbuntuOnAir event, Ubuntu developers responding to a question stated that Ubuntu App Developer Showdown will probably be repeated. This is possible because of enormous user response at this event and amount of effort put in by developers to create Ubuntu apps.
This UbuntuOnAir event was attended by Jorge Castro, Alan Pope, Ben Kerensa, Jose Antonio Rey and some guests such as Jono Bacon, Michael Hall, Steve Langasek, Leann Ogasawara, Chris VanHoof, Robert Carr and Brian Murray. The event was also attended by Dell's Barton George.
