Gnome Boxes is an upcoming app that will allow you to connect with remote, local and virtual machines and system images and use them right from your desktop. The application will also have the ability to view, access and use virtual machines from removable media and shared connection or shared machines and also allow you to upload and publish virtual machines.

oVirt is a free software project that provides management, monitoring and provisioning of KVM virtual machines on multiple hosts. It provides a web based interface to create and manage virtual machines. A Gnome hacker, Christophe, is working on including oVirt support for Gnome Boxes. This will allow users to connect with oVirt virtual machines without opening their browsers. Some screenshots:

You can view the proposed design of Gnome Boxes in Gnome Live page.
