The Calligra team has released a new release candidate of Calligra productivity suite. This is mainly a bug fix release and is more stable than the previous beta release. You can read the release announcement here.

Calligra is a KDE community project that aims to bring a stable and robust productivity suite for the KDE desktop environment. The suite consists of office, graphics and project management applications.

The apps use standard (ISO approved) formats for saving documents and files so that cross compatibility is enhanced and documents are accessible to anyone in the world.

Among the office applications, Words is a premier word processor with better handling of .doc/docx documents than LibreOffice. The office suite also features Stage, a presentation creation software, Sheets for spreadsheets, flow for making flowcharts and Kexi, a visual database creator.

You can get binaries for this release here.
