The Document Foundation has released an infographic showing the current state of growth of the LibreOffice office suite. The document shows a steady increase in downloads per week and new code committers, while a variable graph for code contributors and commits per month.

Most of the hackers contributing in LibreOffice are volunteers, while a large amount of them are paid developers from Red Hat, SUSE and Oracle. Paid developers are mostly interested in contributing to the critical areas, like development strategies, key patches and features. While volunteers contribute to some easy hacks, small patches and rarely in large patches.
