Google's first branded tablet Nexus 7 has shook the entire tablet segment. Even the hardcore Apple fans like MG Seigler are praising the device. I ordered mine the day it was made available.
This tablet is now available in India. Indiatimes Shopping is selling the device for Rs 16,952 for 8GB capacity. Google is selling the same device for $200 where as 16GB version is available for $249 which means the Indian site is selling the tablet for around $307 for 8GB. Not bad given that there is no plan to officially launch tha tablet in India.
The site says:
It may take some time for Google Nexus 7 to hit the Indian shores but the buzz for the same has already reached here. There is talk of its being the best in its range and the best value for money it offers. And going by the specifications and features it is loaded with, the buzz seems real. The Google Nexus 7 is manufactured by ASUS and it is the first 7-inch tablet that comes with Quad-core processor (1.3 GHz Tegra 3) . The 1.3 GHz Tegra 3 means fast performance and a responsive screen. It runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, which again, is being touted as the first on any tablet. With so much buzz around, and great features to back it up, the Google Nexus 7 seems to be a tab worth laying your hands on.
