The KDE photo manager digiKam has got a new release. The new 2.7.0 version comes with the following changes:

  • Better RAW processing support with Libraw library.
  • New camera profiles to apply automatic optical lens corrections through the new LensFun library.
  • Creating thumbnails will speed up as LibPGF library has been updated to 6.12.24

Over 30 bugs have been fixed in this release, 9 of which caused digiKam to crash. Also, support for a lot of cameras like Canon 5D Mark III, G1 X, 1D X and Powershot SX200, Nikon D4, D800/D800E and D3200, Fuji X-S1 and HS30EXR, Casio EX-Z8, Olympus E-M5, Panasonic GF5, Sony NEX-F3, SLT-A37 and SLT-A57, Samsung NX20 and NX210 have been added in this version.
