Transmission, a popular an and minimalistic Gnome torrent client, has been updated to a new version.

The version 2.60 comes with all tickets closed, which means all the open bugs and requests have been resolved. Some of the key changes in this release include better support for magnet links, better scraping behavior for various trackers, notifications for seeding and downloading completion on the web client and various other small bug fixes.

This release can also be compiled in FreeBSD and Solaris, so users of these operating systems will not miss Transmission anymore. For Mac users, this release is ready for Gatekeeper on Mountain Lion, along with Retina Graphics support and support for Lion's window restoration for several windows.

You can grab the source code of this release or wait for your distro to package it.
