Samsung is turning out to be the most lazy company when it comes to updating their devices. Android 4.0 was released last year and most Samsung devices including the famous tablets that gave Apple run for their money and the scared company rushed to the court has not received Android 4.0 yet.
Android 4.1 was released last month and there is no word from Samsung if the tablet will be getting Jelly Bean or not. On the contrary other Android tablet players have already announced plans to update their tablets to Android 4.1 including Motorola Xoom, ASUS Transformer. Other tablet manufacturers updated their tablets to Android 4.0 early this year while Samsung's 10.1 is still running Android 3.x.
Whether Samsung will update the orginal Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Android 4.1 is uncertain.
We are a Samsung family -- we have Samsung 10.1 Tab, two Samsung phones, Samsung 3D TV and 3d BD Player, Samsung camera, Samsung monitors and Samsung Chromebooks. I bought Galaxy Tab 10.1 to support Samsung in their fight against Apple. But looking at the dodgy update cycle, I wish I bought Motorola Xoom or Transformer instead of Galaxy Tab 10.1.
So Samsung I love you and support you, all we want from you is to keep our devices updated to the latest and the greatest version of Android. Is that too hard to do?
