If your company uses Active Directory, then there is good news for you. According to Gnome developer Stef Walter you will be able to login to your Gnome desktop using your Active Directory username and password.
The developer claims that you can sign in with your realm login and will be able to use other services with the same kerberos sign in. Gnome will be able to autodiscover domain/realm and also much more settings and information. Here is a screenshot of gnome-control-center:

As you see, there are now two login modes, one is a user account and other enterprise login. Choosing the later throws up this screen:
You can supply your Domain name, login and password here. If something is wrong, you will get intelligent error messages as shown in these screenshots:


Finally your account gets added and you can login to Gnome using them.
This feature will be shipped with Gnome 3.6 by default, and although there are a few things to fix, the results look promising.
