The GNOME foundation today announced new board of directors for the year 2012-2013. The directors were elected by The GNOME Foundation Members and the GNOME Elections Committee and they will take charge of office from next month.

The list of winners of the election are below:

  • Seif Lotfy
  • Shaun McCance
  • Tobias Mueller
  • Andreas Nilsson
  • Bastien Nocera

Executive Director of GNOME foundation, Karen Sandler said, "All of the candidates this year were exeptional and it's extremely exciting to have such a strong group of Directors ready to steer the Foundation. On behalf of the GNOME Community, many thanks to the outgoing Directors -- Brian Cameron, Ryan Lortie, Stormy Peters, and Germán Póo-Caamaño -- who have given so much to the Foundation and to the GNOME project."

There were a total of 375 registered voters and 186 valid ballots. The detailed results and list of all votes are availiable from GNOMEs official website.
