Zorin OS team has announced the release of Zorin OS 6 Core and Ultimate, the latest version of the Ubuntu-based distribution. Zorin is developed with Windows users in mind and offers an easy way to change the theme of the OS to look like Windows. It cam be an excellent OS for those who want the security of Linux with familiarity of Windows interface. The noticeable changes in this release which is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS are an all new Zorin Desktop environment, a redesigned software center, Gtk3, new kernel 3.2 and loads of other improvements.
As it's based on a Long Term Support Release, it will be supported with security updates for five years. The distro is aimed mainly at new users switching from Windows who want a familiar interface. It can also attract those who are dissatisfied with Gnome 3 or Unity interface.
