HTC launched their much anticipated flagship HTC One M8, and it has already gained praise from the critics just like its predecessor, for brilliant design, innovative features, beautiful UI and lot of power under the hood. As expected, the ‘mini’ version of the flagship is due for release and @evleaks has revealed a press render of the ‘HTC One Mini 2.’
According to the rumours, HTC One Mini 2 will run Android 4.4.2 with HTC’s Sense 6.0 UI on top. The device will be powered by 1.7 Ghz Quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The HTC One Mini 2 will have a 4.5 inch display with 720p resolution. There is no duo camera setup like in the HTC One M8, apparent from the leaked renders. Speculations say that HTC might have ditched the ultra pixel sensor camera and has gone with 13 megapixel camera, while there’s a 5 megapixel front facing camera. Internal storage will be 16GB which is microSD expandable.
Taking note of the specifications, HTC One Mini 2 will be a mid range device just like last years’ HTC One Mini. Users who like the design of the HTC One M8 but would prefer a device with smaller footprint would like the HTC One Mini 2.
There is no official work from the Taiwanese company yet and these are just speculations and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
