Rabbit Hole 3D: Steam Edition released for Linux

For all the retro gamers out there, Rabbit Hole 3D: Steam Edition is a newly released game for Steam for Linux. The game is a minimalistic retro style puzzle, like the good old days of yore, complete with a catchy retro chiptune soundtrack that is sure to take you back to your childhood. The game’s interface is designed to give you the retro vibe. The game is basically a move up, down, left and right game like the classic Frogger but here you dodge words instead of traffic. You are represented by a single block, staying true to the retro formula.

Words from the initial chapter of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll is randomly thrown at you and it is your task to dodge them while collecting alphabets to complete the word Rabbit Hole within the given time to complete the level.

The game allows you to play entirely in 3D perspective. It also features audio narration of the famed book by Lewis Carroll as you play the game. So the game should be an excellent distraction for younger people.

The game boasts of:

  • SteamPlay: Play it on Windows, Mac, and Linux!
  • audio clip of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Chapter 1 – Down the Rabbit Hole)
  • Dynamic procedural graphics with a minimalistic retro look
  • Retro chiptune soundtrack
  • Steam Leaderboards and Achievements unlock! Compare your scores with your Steam friends!

The game is currently available at a promotional sale for $1.97 (34% off) till 2nd May.

This launch on the Steam for Linux and by extension on the SteamOS, adds one more game to the SteamOS which is due to launch later this year.
