Acer teases next Liquid smartphone ahead of MWC

Taiwanese firm Acer has used its official Google+ page to tease the announcement of a new smartphone in its Liquid series. The teaser image arrives ahead of an official unveiling at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) show, which will be held in Barcelona starting next week.

Though not much can be made out of the image, an interesting sensor is included on the device’s back panel. It could possibly be an infrared blaster, a fingerprint sensor, or some kind of hardware button.

Giving a sleek appearance, this phone seems to feature thin buttons on its left side. We might be wrong here as the picture does not reveal itself in totality and what we have here could just be the phone’s most attractive angle.

With MWC just one week away, we will soon find out what the Taiwanese manufacturer is taking to the show this year.

The Acer Liquid S2 smartphone was announced last year with 6-inch 1080×1920 display powered by 2.2GHz processor alongside 2GB RAM and 13-megapixel rear camera.
