Moto G on sale for $99 from US Cellular without contract

Motorola’s Moto G has been on a tear recently. Not only has the device launched in the lucrative Indian market, but it has also been released on a few US networks as well with US Cellular being the most recent. The good news for customers is that the phone can be had for as little as $99 off contract. This price is the same as Verizon’s request for the device, and is sure to turn more than a few heads.

If you’re interested in having the device, please note that you will need to be on one of US Cellular’s off-contract plans like the $50 offer that nets you 500MB. Despite the show of interest in Motorola by Lenovo, it hasn’t stopped the company from forging ahead with their plans to compete in not only the high end market with the Moto X, but also to have a strong presence in developing markets with the Moto G. The funny thing about the G is that it’s so good that even customers in developed countries are in pursuit of the device, and this is a good sign for Motorola.

We’re not quite certain of what will happen in the next few months with Moto and their team, but we do know that they have set a solid foundation in the past six months, and if Lenovo plays their hand well, which I’m sure they will, then Moto will be a powerful force in the not to distant future. I just wonder what Motorola is going to announce at the MWC on the 25th of this month. Hopefully it’s a device that turns the game on its head; again.
