Hitman Mobile Game is coming to Android

Gamers expecting the next instalment of the Hitman series this year would be disappointed to know that Square Enix has cancelled the plans last year, but on the brighter side Square Enix, Montreal is working on mobile version of the popular Hitman series.

Well, Square Enix might not be making the next instalment but it doesn’t mean that there will be no next instalment. Square Enix has released a statement stating that a new instalment is in the works for PC, PS4 and Xbox One by series founder IO interactive. On the other hand Square Enix, Montreal is confirmed to be working on some mobile titles and according to Square Enix, “”some of which are related to the Hitman franchise.”

Earlier, Videogamer had picked up a piece of information from LinkedIn profile of Senior Game Designer at Square Enix, Richard Knight which stated that the company was not working on the new Hitman Instalment. This news had been bad news for gamers, as it was assumed that Hitman series was coming to to and end. However, the same report said that the company is instead working on an “unannounced Hitman game,” for Android and iOS, which gave some hope to the Hitman fans. The official statement given to Polygon has however cleared any doubt and we are now expecting both a full fledged Hitman game and a mobile edition.

It is unlikely that we will see any Hitman Titles launch soon, but the company has assured that details about the upcoming games will be released later this year.
