Acer reveals white C720P Chromebook

Buoyed by itsrecent success in the notebook sector, Acer has released another version of its best selling C720 series. The C720P-2600 bears similar specifications to the original C720P, but this time, she’s an all white beauty. The new colour scheme coupled with the sleek design of its older brothers will sure make it a hit in the months to come.

The C720P-2600 features an 11.6″ touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768. An Intel Celeron 2955U processor, clocked at 1.4Ghz keeps humming along. 2GB of DDR3 memory is available, and a 32GB SSD will be on board for storage. Similar to the C720P, it also offers 7.5 hours of battery life and the usual connections of HDMI, usb 3.0 and 2.0.

Much has been said about the huge progress that Chromebooks have made in 2013. 2014 seems like it will continue with that trend. CES 2014 will witness the debut of LG’s All in One, and this latest addition to the arsenal is likely to make an appearance as well. For a summary of our predictions for next week’s CES, click here. I am a fan of technology and Android in particular. It has helped to turn the mobile industry on its head, and its open source nature has opened many doors that were previously closed. I am also a self confessed Google fanboy, so it may be reflected in my views from time to time.
