$100 Moto G launched on Verizon Wiresless

We can never get enough good news, and this classifies as such. It was announced today that the much loved Moto G, a phone originally priced at $179.99 for the 8GB model, and $199.99 for the 16GB model will go on sale at Verizon Wireless at an incredibly affordable price of $99.99 off contract. It is set to kick off on January 9th and will also be sold for the same price at Best Buy outlets.

The rumours were circling around thanks to a leak on Google+, and just a few days later, it has been made official. Since its launch, the Moto G has received rave reviews and prepaid customers on Verizon can now partake in the fun for an even lower price.

In another twist, Boost Mobile¬†has also announced that it too will carry the Moto G, but at a price of $129.99. It will launch on January 14th and will again be unlocked. This news, coupled with Motorola’s announcement of a permanent price reduction for the Moto X to $399.99 means that Motorola has hit the ground running in 2014 and shows no sign of letting up.

Feel free to head over to Verizon’s site to get more information about the launch of the phone. Once in hand, don’t forget to write home and let us know of just how much fun you’re having.

About Myril Kennedy

I am a fan of technology and Android in particular. It has helped to turn the mobile industry on its head, and its open source nature has opened many doors that were previously closed. I am also a self confessed Google fanboy, so it may be reflected in my views from time to time.
