LG announces Chrome OS powered Chromebase all-in-one PC

LG has just announced a Chrome OS powered all-in-one desktop PC which will compete with Apple’s iMac and other Windows-based all-in-one PCs. LG’s Chromebase is powered by an Intel Celeron CPU, has 2GB or RAM, offers 16GB of storage and features 21.5-inch 1080p LCD.

LG’s move to launch a full-fleged PC running Google’s Linux based Chrome OS is a clear sign of market’s losing trust in Microsoft’s Windows platform

Chromebase is a perfect device for average household where a PC is needed for emailing, Facebooking, Googlinge, writing documents, watching movies and playing music. Windows has lost its revelance for an average PC user as most of our computing is happening through a browser and there are close to non desktop-based apps which an avarage user relies on. I can say that because my wife has converted from a Macbook to Chromebook and she is doing everything that she was doing on her Macbook.

Only thing missing at the moment is the pricing and availability of the device.
