Nautilus design changes mooted, to be more content focussed

Content Selection

Content Selection will help users to select files from various sources such as local drives or the cloud. At the beginning, recent items will be shown. From here, the user will have the ability to select a content provider such as Documents, Music etc. The Places sidebar slips in too at this stage. With Content Selection, a replacement to the existing file selection dialog will be implemented.

These changes are of course not final. They are being worked on and suggestions are being welcomed by the team. Head over to Allan’s post to have a complete view of the design changes.

Tell us what you think.

About Varghese Chacko

An IT guy, I have been working as a QA professional for around 6.5 years. I keenly follow technology with a special focus on open source. After much distro-hopping, I settled down on using openSUSE as my distribution of choice. A fan of Arsenal ever since I started following football, I keenly follow sports and am good for a game always.
